I'm radiation

TEMA (pronounced tyemah) are in a transition at the moment. Shortly after t.A.T.u. left their manager, creator and mastermind Ivan Shapovalov in early 2004, he set about creating a new group. The idea was project TEMA. Two young girls, Sasha Anokhina (16) and Nastya Kotova (15) were selected, and the idea of the group was that they'd make music in order to meet their idols.

Their first song Кто, если не я? Kto, yesli nye ya? was initially passed off as a new t.A.T.u. song to gain publicity. Most t.A.T.u. fans were fooled, since the song was also accomanied by a fake report that t.A.T.u. has changed their name to TEMA following the split with their managment.

Despite releasing songs to radio and shooting (albeit very low budget) videos, the girls were never signed to any record label. In recent months it has been anounced two news girls will replace Sasha and Nastya, and yesterday it was revealed that the two new TEMA girls will start recording their debut album tomorrow. It is rumoured that they will record the same songs previously recorded by Sasha and Nastya.

The final song recorded by TEMA was the brilliant Радиация Radiatsiya (Radiation).

But... I have another version of Kto, yesli nye ya? which sounds ALOT more like t.A.T.u. than the version you posted.

Who recorded the version I have then?

The version you have was the first version which first surfaced, and yes it was very t.A.T.u., and many people, including me thought it was them.

Hello! Welcome to RusskiPop - From Russia with Pop, a guide to the mysterious world of Russian popular music. Not unlike the motherland herself, the Russian pop scene is vast, multicultural, and a bit rubbish.
