It's all about "All About Us"

You see what I did there? Cos the song is called All About Us, and this thread is all about the song, and one of the lyrics is "It's all about, all about us." Yes.

Oy! (as they say in Russia), our favourite Russian psuedo-lesbitarians are back! By now you will probably have already heard t.A.T.u.'s fantastic new English single All About Us, and possibly seen the video on TV, so I'm not going to say much about it.

Meanwhile, the tracklists of the English and Russian albums have been confirmed, with one or two surprises. t.A.T.u. fans were quite surprised, some even bewildered to see two old songs included on the new Russian album. The songs in question are Ничья [NichN'ya] Nobody's, and Ты согласна [Ty soglasna] You Agree.

Nich'ya is a simple ballad, which Lena and Yulia presented on the Total'nyy shou (Total Show) back in 2003. Now that the girls are trying to move away from the lesbian image, fans are wondering if lyrics such as "Prosto eto reflyeks, nash nyepravil'nyy syeks" (Our unnatural sex, it's simply a reflex), should be included on the new album. I do really like the song. As always links are at the end of the post.

Ty soglasna is a weird song. Viewers of Lenochka and Yulka's reality show t.A.T.u. v Podnebesnoy (t.A.t.u. in Cellestial) saw them recording it. In February 2004 it was added to playlists of Russian radio stations but was suddenly pulled before any had a chance to play it (the girls had split with their manager and creator, Ivan Shapovolov). Then mysteriously a few months ago a "full version" of the song appeared on the net. It seems a fan put a song toghether using the audio from the reality show. Another explanation is that it is a proper demo version. If the latter is the case, let's hope they do a lot of work on it for the album. This song will also appear on the English album, in English, however the title of the track is unkown at present.

The song starts with Yulia whipering about sleeping with the lights on and crap. Then it launches into the chorus which consists of the two words "Ty soglasna" being shouted over and over. At this point you think "Wow!". But then the verse kicks in, and on this unofficial version it is rap/sung, by which I mean it isn't rapping, but it isn't singing. Anyway, it gets repetitive and boring towards the end. Clicky the link at the end to hear for yourself.

Another song which has a demo version floating round the interweb is Что не хватает [Chto nye khvatayet] What isn't enough or something. The demo only has Lena singing, and it is a good song. A bit strucureless, but hopefully it will be improved for the final verion.

The English album is called Dangerous and Moving, and the Russian version is called Люди-инвалиды [Lyudi-invalidy] Disabled People (However, I disagree and think a better translation, and intended meaning is "People are disabled". But anyway).

The title tracks of each album are actually the same song, but in both languages. A demo version sung by an unknown female singer leaked onto the net in May. from what I have heard I am very excited. The videos for the songs have already been filmed in LA.

So, here are all the songs mentioned in this post (let me know if any of them are dead!)
